Day 1
Palermo  
Arrive in Palermo and transfer on your own to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Cocktail. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (D)

Day 2
Palermo/Segesta/Erice/Trapani/Palermo  
Depart for Segesta and visit the perfectly conserved Doric temple of the 5th century BC. Lunch at a local restaurant in Erice, a medieval town full of myth and history, art and environment located at 800 metres above sea level. After lunch enjoy an orientation tour of Trapani’s salt-mills. Return to Palermo. Overnight at your hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 3
Palermo/Cefalu/Capo d’Orlando/Tindari/Messina  
Drive along the Thyrrenian coast and stop in Cefalu, a pleasant resort well known for its beautiful Norman Cathedral and medieval washhouse built in the rock. Proceed to Capo d’Orlando for lunch in a panoramic restaurant in front of a sandy white beach. Continue to Tindari to admire the magnificent view of the sand-tongues. Continue to Messina. Overnight at your hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 4
Messina/Reggio Calabria/Taormina/Messina  
Sea conditions permitting embark to Reggio Calabria and visit the famous Bronzi di Riace. Return to Messina. In the afternoon, depart to Taormina, visit the Greek Theatre and enjoy time at your leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. Dine in a famous restaurant in the city centre. Return to Messina and overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 5
Messina/Mt. Etna/Syracuse  
Weather permitting, excursion to Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Ascend by bus to 1800 m., with the option to ascend to 3000 m. (payable on site). Proceed to Syracuse and visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of Paradise and the Dionysus “Ear” as well as visit of the island of Ortigia, singular treasure of the baroque style. Dinner at Jolly Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 6
Syracuse/Piazza Armerina/Agrigento  
Depart for Piazza Armerina and visit the world famous Villa Romana del Casale famed for its well-preserved mosaics. Lunch in a traditional restaurant and continue to Agrigento. Visit the Valley including the Temples of June, Concors, Heracles, Zeus, Castsor and Pollux. After dinner, enjoy an unforgettable panoramic tour of the Valley of the Temples illuminated. Overnight in Agrigento. (B,L,D)

Day 7
Agrigento/Monreale/Palermo  
En route for Palermo stopping in Monreale to visit the Duomo, one of the most renowned monuments in the world as well as the Benedictine Cloister, in pure Norman style. In the afternoon, visit the city of Palermo including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace, as well as a panoramic tour of the historical centre. Farewell dinner. (B,L,D)

Palermo  
Breakfast and end of tour. (B)
