Capri & Anacapri

Sail from the port of Amalfi across the gulf of Salerno to reach Capri by steamer. First, Anacapri: optional visit of the fabulous Villa of Dr. Axel Munthe. Capri town: the mighty Piazzetta, full of shops, small cafés and restaurants. Visit of the gardens of Augustus overlooking the famous Faraglioni rocks. Free time for shopping, lunch and optional visit of the Blue Grotto.

Pompeii & Vesuvius

Depart from the hotel by deluxe motor coach to reach Pompeii, the roman city buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Visit the archaeological excavations. Free time for lunch. Excursion to Vesuvius up to 1000 meters, then walk to the summit. Visit to one of the most prestigious cameo and coral factories.

Sorrento & Ercolano

Drive to Ercolano, a residential town buried in ashes by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Guided visit to the archaeological excavations then proceed to Sorrento. Visit the city centre, time at your leisure for shopping and lunch. Short visit to an inlaid woodworking shop. Return along the untamed beauty of the Amalfi Coast, through the picturesque villages of Conca dei Marini, Fuore, and Praiano. Photo stop at the famous Belevedere in Positano. Return to the hotel in time for supper.

Paestum & Vietri sul Mare

Drive southward by deluxe coach to Paestum. A visit to the ancient Greek temples dating back to the 6th century B.C. Optional visit to the Archaeological Museum of Paestum with its rich collection of Greek art and antiquities. The excursion follows to Vietri sul Mare, the capital of Italian ceramics. Test your own skills and make yourself an excellent souvenir of your holiday. Return to the hotel by dinner.

Naples & Solfara

Leave the hotel by coach to Naples, a many-coloured and many-sided city unique for the character its people. Full city tour: the Royal Palace, San Carlo's Theatre, Piazza del Plebiscito and Piazza Municipio with the Maschio Angiono, the battle-scarred castle, which reminds us of the city's turbulent history. Drive out via Mergellina and Fuorigrotta to the Solfatara with its typical sea bubbling lava-pools and steam erupting from a small, still active, volcano.

Caserta & Cassino

Drive along the lovely coast on the highway to Caserta. Visit to the Royal Palace and the delightful tropical gardens and ponds in the huge Royal Park. Continue towards Cassino. Optional lunch. Ascent to Monte Cassino and visit to the renowned Abbey bombed during the Second World War and entirely rebuilt in the same style soon after. Return to the hotel for dinner.
