Day 1 Rome/Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento
Departure at 7:00 from Rome to Naples with a brief visit of the town. Next stop, Pompeii, the historic city that was buried following the eruption of Vesuvio in 79 AD. Lunch in a typical restaurant and then we visit the famous excavations of Pompeii. Off to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight. (L, D)

Day 2 Sorrento/Anacapri/Capri
After breakfast, we will embark for Capri, a picturesque Mediterranean style village with a wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples On arrival, weather permitting, a visit of the Blue Grotte. Lunch break in a typical restaurant. On our way back, we see Anacapri.  Back to Sorrento for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 3   Sorrento/Castel del Monte/Alberobello/Selva di Fasano
After breakfast, depart for the Apulia region. On our way,  we  will stop to visit the imposing 13-century Castel del Monte, Castle of the Mount,  built by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick. Next stop, Alberobello, the famous town of the cone shaped houses known as  ‘’trulli’’ and Unesco Heritage. Dinner and overnight.  (B, D)

Day 4   Selva di Fasano/ Lecce/ Castellana Caves /Selva de Fasano
After breakfast, departure for Lecce, an intriguing splendid baroque city where you will admire the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Celestina Palace, the church of S. Oranzo and its square with its roman amphitheater.  Our motor coach bus then makes its way to visit the Castellana Grotte caves, a truly remarkable natural underground cave with an enormous vertical tunnel 60 meters-long. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5   Selva di Fasano/ Matera / Sorrento or Rome
Today, off to the Basilicata region in southeastern Italy. We will stop and visit one of the most enchanting places in the world Matera. This Unesco Heritage city is home to the ‘’sassi’’. The old city was created out of a rocky ravine and was used as a backdrop for Mel Gibson's blockbuster movie "Passion of the Christ". Free time and then we will make our back to Sorrento or Rome.
